Ositech Communications
offers two cellular wireless data products for mobile users. The
King of Clubs cellular data PC card is suited for users who
already have a built-in wireline modem in their notebooks, while the
King of Hearts, a cellular data PC card plus 56K modem, is for
those who need a single integrated solution for all of their
remote data access needs.
The King of Clubs
with CellFlex technology
enables a laptop user with a compatible cellular phone to
seamlessly connect/access the Internet from wherever a voice
cellular call can be made, regardless of being in the home network
area or roaming when data communications is needed. Data
connection via the home digital cellular network is always
attempted first as the preferred choice; however, the unit falls
back to analog roaming network whenever required. All of this
takes place without user
intervention.
The
King of Hearts
also features CellFlex
technology, but also with a 56K modem. Where available, a data
connection via wireline can be made. If no landline is available,
the cellular connection can be used which first attempts to
connect using the home digital cellular network, and if not
available, the unit falls back to an analog roaming network
connection wherever required. Again, the process is automatic with
no user intervention.
