The Trumpcard 5 of Diamonds incorporates the world's first internal Digital Phone Interface (DPI) that will allow users to make data and fax connections through digital phone systems (found in most offices and hotels in North America and around the world). Simply by connecting the cable that plugs into your office phone handset to the DPI technology allows you to connect to the internet, send faxes or receive your email easily. No longer do road warriors have to search for analog phone lines or conduct modem presentations in fax rooms.

Connect AnyWhere, AnyTime Through Any Phone - The 5 of Diamonds is high performance modem that will keep mobile professionals in touch anywhere with a V.34 33.6 and 28.8 kbps data and 14.4 Kbps fax modem that supports data and fax connections through analog, cellular and digital phone systems. Cellular connections are supported by the Rockwell MNP 10 EC protocol. The 5 of Diamonds is flash ROM upgradeable and is designed with low power requirements.


Smart Cellular™ Technology

The 5 of Diamonds features Smart Cellular technology to automatically configure the 5 of Diamonds for land line and cellular calls. Ease of use is guaranteed with one easy step because of Ositech's advanced initialization string option. Not only does the Trumpcard modem detect if a the standard modem cable or cellular cable is connected it also automatically insert the correct analog or cellular initialization string. Users do not have to reconfigure their software each time they switch from analog to cellular environments.


Pricing

The 5 of Diamonds is scheduled to begin shipping in August 1996, at a suggested retail price of $259.00 U.S. (349.00 CDN), which includes toll-free technical support and a 5-year parts and labor warranty. The modem offers driver support for DOS, Windows, Windows 95 and is compatible with all laptop computers incorporating the PCMCIA standard and slots.
