The 5 of Diamonds features Smart Cellular™ technology to automatically configure the 5 of Diamonds for land line and cellular calls. Ease of use is guaranteed with one easy step because of Ositech's advanced initialization string option. Not only does the Trumpcard modem detect if a the standard modem cable or cellular cable is connected it also automatically insert the correct analog or cellular initialization string. Users do not have to reconfigure their software each time they switch from analog to cellular environments.

The 5 of Diamonds is scheduled to begin shipping in August 1996, at a suggested retail price of $259.00 U.S. (349.00
CDN), which includes toll-free technical support and a 5-year parts and labor warranty. The modem offers driver support for DOS, Windows, Windows 95 and is compatible with all laptop computers incorporating the PCMCIA standard and slots.
