Ositech Communications Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of GSM and ISDN accessories for its V.90 56K modem and multi-function products: Five of Hearts (56K
DPI Modem), Five of Clubs (56K Data/Fax Modem), Jack of Hearts (Ethernet + 56K Modem), Jack of Spades
(CardBus 10/100 +56K Modem).
Ositech's GSM cellular accessory provides support for GSM 900, GSM 1800 and
GSM/PCS 1900 networks. Specific phones that it supports are: Nokia 5110, 5190, 6110, 6150, 6190 and the Ericsson 600/700/800 series. This GSM direct-connect cellular cable offers true mobile connectivity. Ositech's GSM kit ships with Ositech's Pilot software for easy switching between GSM and landline connections. Operating under Windows 95, 98 and NT systems, the GSM cellular connection kit includes a Short Message Service
(SMS) utility and a Phone Book Management utility that further enhance productivity of mobile professionals.
The addition of the GSM option to Ositech's V.90 56K product line, with its installation and configuration software provided for easy set-up and use, means that road warriors can now take advantage of this European standard in digital cellular communication to access the Internet and collect email, anywhere and anytime.
Ositech's ISDN upgrade kit clears the way for high-speed access to email and Internet when telecommuting from home or remote office. As in the GSM accessory, the ISDN connection kit includes installation and configuration software for easy set-up and use as well as a direct cable with auto-detection. With speeds of 64Kbps and 128Kbps, the ISDN option offers flash memory for easy firmware updates and LED's to indicate D and B channel state. Furthermore, the active design offloads host processing and dependency of the host OS being used.
The ISDN connection kit is an ideal option to complement Ositech's V.90 56K Trumpcards and meet the demanding needs of mobile users. With worldwide connectivity and high speed, the Ositech ISDN option decreases file transfer times and decreases the associated telephone line costs, making it ideal for home offices, remote offices and sales teams requiring high speed Internet connections.
