Ositech Communications Inc. today announced the availability of the cellular data upgrade kit for the Motorola StarTAC 7700 series PCS/AMPS phones.
Ositech's cellular upgrade kit will enable the mobile professional to communicate effectively with the office while on the road using their StarTAC cellular phones. Access to email, fax, Internet and office networks is simply a connection away, anywhere, anytime. Due to the increased popularity of Motorola StarTAC phones, especially the 7760 and 7790 models, this wireless data solution will be a necessity for communication convenience and enhanced productivity.

This Cellular data kit for StarTAC 7700 series models will compliment the currently available kit for Motorola StarTAC series PCS/AMPS phones including, 3000, 6000, 6500, 8000, 8500, 8600. This kit is designed for use with all of Ositech's V.90/56K modem and multifunction PC Cards: Five of Hearts, Five of Clubs, Jack of Hearts and Jack of Spades. All cellular drivers are embedded into the modem firmware, thus allowing automatic detection and operation with no user intervention required when switching between landline and cellular operation. Installation and configuration software is provided for easy set-up and use while support of MNP 10-EC error correction, allows for reliable and hassle-free cellular connections.
