Ositech
adds support for Ericsson, Nokia Pop-PortTM
and LG handsets to its USB Data + Cell phone Charger kits.
Owners
of these cell phones can also now enjoy the benefits of this
popular solution.
Guelph, Ontario, January 5, 2004: The wait for owners
of Ericsson, Nokia Pop-Port and LG cellular phones is over.
Ositech is announcing the availability of its popular data &
cell phone charger All-in-1 kits for these handsets.
Anyone who has used a
cellular phone knows that the handset is useless if there is not
enough charge left in the battery for continued operation.
For this reason power users carry not just the travel cell phone
charger but also various different power adaptor plugs, in order
to plug into the power outlets found in various countries.
Furthermore an auto-charger is also a useful accessory to carry
along. All this to make sure that the cell phone battery is
always charged for continued operation. With the addition in
the handset of built-in modem for data communications, the need to
have the cell phone battery charged is ever more acute as the
device is not just being used for voice but data communications as
well.
With the
availability of high-speed cellular data remote communication on
the go is becoming ever more popular and convenient. The
most common approach being the use of data modem built into the
cell phone. All a user has to do is to attach their laptop
with their cell phone by a data cable and presto! They can now
connect to the Internet from Anywhere. A recent study to analyze
productivity gains suggests that use of these devices enables the
users at least an hour of more time to connect with their
customers each week.
Recognizing that a significant source of power in the
field is the laptop battery, the Ositech data + cell phone charger
solution is designed to take advantage of this and charge the cell
phone battery whenever connected to the laptop. An intelligent
software utility allows for customizing the charging variables to
the users needs. This is the reason why this all-in-1 solution has
become so popular. With the addition of compatibility to
handsets from Ericsson, LG and Nokia, more and more owners of cell
phones and laptops can empower themselves with this solution.
“The addition of a USB auto charger further increases the value
and usability of this solution without increasing the cost,”
said Joseph Casarin, Field Application Engineer for Ositech.
“This ensures that the user can keep their cellular phones
charged no matter what country they might be traveling in,” he
added.
The plug and play
kits for Ericsson, LG and Nokia handsets would retails for $59.95
USD and will start shipping in February 2004 to customers
worldwide.
